I can’t help but notice how much longer the process is taking these days, but look at it. It’s glorious. The shading in that second panel made me feel like Michelangelo painting the Sistine Chapel. In reality, it was probably more like a homeless person spreading feces on a wall, but it’s progress.
Season 7 of Game of Thrones is pretty neat-o, just in case you’re one of the few people who isn’t watching it, but it’s funny to see all these fantasy tropes being pulled from their own story-lines and mixed together. It’s seriously the best superhero show on tv.
I know, I know. This has been a longtime coming. You may have noticed this comic was out weeks ago on other social media platforms, but this blog has not been getting the love it deserves. I vow to change that. Probably.
I’m gonna keep making comics in my spare time, of which there hasn’t been a lot lately. I love doing it. It occurs to me that wordpress may not be the ideal environment for a project like this, but all my comics already have the URL on them, so fudge it, we’re in it for the long haul.
Guardians of the Galaxy was such a wild ride, due in part to the relative obscurity of the characters. It’s funny to see how the franchise evolved over two movies, especially considering one of the characters has been reduced to cute sidekick status.
Still, even with how toyetic the film is, it’s a lot of fun and kicks it into full banter mode after the first scene.
It’s still kind of a knock-off of the first one, but so was Suicide Squad and this is at least a hundred-million-bajillion times better than that.
The dust has settled, my exams are finished and it’s finally time to make some more comics. It’s interesting trying to take the elements that have made previous webcomics successful and then build on that.
People like Avengers, they like characters they recognize and they like to see them acting silly. Mission accomplished?
Eleven more days until Guardians of the Galaxy TWOOOOO!
See you nerds at the theatre 😉
