I realize that Batman being able to vanish into seemingly thin air is supposed to show how adept the Dark Knight is compared to a mere human, but it really kinda just makes Gordon look like a meathead sometimes. Like, stop turning around and gazing reflectively at the surroundings. No wonder there’s so much crime in Gotham.
Guardians of the Galaxy was such a wild ride, due in part to the relative obscurity of the characters. It’s funny to see how the franchise evolved over two movies, especially considering one of the characters has been reduced to cute sidekick status.
Still, even with how toyetic the film is, it’s a lot of fun and kicks it into full banter mode after the first scene.
It’s still kind of a knock-off of the first one, but so was Suicide Squad and this is at least a hundred-million-bajillion times better than that.
The dust has settled, my exams are finished and it’s finally time to make some more comics. It’s interesting trying to take the elements that have made previous webcomics successful and then build on that.
People like Avengers, they like characters they recognize and they like to see them acting silly. Mission accomplished?
Eleven more days until Guardians of the Galaxy TWOOOOO!
See you nerds at the theatre 😉
